Voices In Praise is a faith-centered, community youth choir made up of 40+ students in Grades 6-12. With more than 20 years of music-making experience, VIP provides amazing opportunities to sing, serve others, and grow in faith and friendship.

Rehearsal Information:

• VIP Rehearsal for all singers in Grades 6 – 12 take place on Monday nights from 6 pm – 7:20 pm at St. Nicholas Lutheran Church, 1450 Plum Point Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639.

• Once a month (as pandemic conditions allow), VIP has Monday night dinner and rehearsal time from 6 pm - 8 pm. 

• Our VIP Chamber Choir rehearses for 45 minutes after full VIP rehearsal each week. Chamber Choir has additional literature and extra performances.

Safety Plans:

• Weekly rehearsals will take place outdoors and indoors.

  • Unvaccinated singers will remain masked for all rehearsals (indoors and outdoors). Singers masks will be available or singers may bring their own.

  • Vaccinated singers will be mask-optional for outdoor rehearsals; masked for indoor rehearsals. Singers masks will be available or singers may bring their own.

• Seating charts that reflect appropriate social distancing of 3’ – 6’ will be used in outdoor and indoor rehearsal settings.

• Indoor rehearsals will include open doors and windows, air purifiers, and fans.

• VIP adult leaders and key volunteers are fully vaccinated.

• In the event that a VIP tests positive, singers who were seated within 10’ of that individual will be notified by email.

• If you are feeling unwell, exhibiting symptoms of Covid, or you are unvaccinated and have been exposed to Covid - we encourage you to err on the side of caution and stay home.
